I always got an errie and curious feeling when I drove on San Pablo past that place. This story saddens and scares me. It's another example of how when you try to do too much good in the world, evil strikes you down. 2012 A.D. is cool but what about 2222? Or 3333? Or even, 4444 A.D.? "Will we make it?" is such an old state of mind. Let's do the damn thing and defeat evil and raise Earth consciousness to Heaven already. Does anyone else have a hard time believing that organized religion and societal stigmatisms still exist?
Posted by: athenalight at August 5, 2007 07:29 AMEverything seems to be going wrong in Oakland lately.
Not just all the shootings, but garbage wasn't picked up, prostitution (including underage), the police dept flooded recently, freeway collapse, poverty, ugh so much more.
I'm interested in living there, but I think I'll stay in south Berkeley for now. :\
Time for a book and concert tour of Europe, I'd say. (But I would, wouldn't I?)
Dear Frank,
Please don't die.
An aquaintance of mine lived in a squat in Ookland, when some guy tried to break into their room he bloked the door, then promptly got shot right through the head. He lived but I'm pretty sure he no longer lives in Oakland!
