The Fraternal Order of the Alphabet

I don't usually like these "meme" chains, but this one appeals because of the randomness. Put your iTunes in alphabetical order by song and note the first track for each letter.

Michele did it, and came up with a much tougher list than mine.

Apparently, the artist who appears most frequently on the list is the "winner," so for me it's a tie between Snoop Doggy Dogg and Pete Shelley. How about that.

A Bar on the Piccola Marina - Noel Coward

B + A - Beta Band

C.O.D. - AC/DC

D-7 - Wipers

E.F.S. No. 99: "CAN CAN" - CAN

T.H.I.N.K. - Fastbacks

W Balls - Snoop Doggy Dogg

XL1 - Pete Shelley

Writing a song called "Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba" is a good way to ensure that you show up on this list.

I would attempt this, but I don't want to even give anyone even an indicaiton of the sick amount of They Might Be Giants material I have on my hard drive. I obsessively collect their stuff, and anything not available on a CD, or a CD that I can find for under $50 or so, ends up on my computer. They would be the winner, but I would so clearly be the loser.

then you have their film without a thought i presume?

...and both children's albums'?

...or just old things?

I put my list up on my blog, with links to mp3s.

Things old and new. I have the documentary film, the music video collection, both kids' albums, the kids' DVD, all their regular studio albums, a few singles, several live shows from their website... On and on. I'm not one of those that think the last good thing they did was "Flood." I'm a sick bastard. Ha ha.

Hey, a cool thing about this game is noticing the songs that you have in common with other people. Frank, you and I share Vacuum Cleaner by Tintern Abbey, and I share at least one song with each of the two other folks who posted their lists above.
