The MTX is doing a brief run down south and a little east, four shows with Stay at Home Bomb. (That's Alice Bag's new band-- "vocals, rhythm guitar, feather duster." Heh.)
Thursday, August 7 Spaceland LA
Friday, August 8 Chain Reaction ANAHEIM
Saturday, August 9 Bash on Ash PHOENIX
Sunday, August 10 Hotel Congress TUCSON
My solo show at the Parkside party in San Francisco on Friday July 25. Open to the public at 8pm. I'll probably play around 9.There's also going to be one in Campbell on Aug. 22. Details soon. And the MTX/Queers/Smugglers/Enemies show at the Great American Music Hall on July 26th.
By the way, I'm going to be in London for a few days following that Campbell show. It's a long shot, but I'm trying to figure out a way to arrange some sort of solo show during one of the few days I'll be there. If any readers in London have any suggestions or contacts or can help in any way, I'd be grateful. My time frame is pretty limited, so it's a long shot, but if it happens it could be fun.

You might want to post something here http://rocktheroll.com/mtx/
as this message board seems to have a lot of Brits visiting it.
I love the Hotel Congress in Tucson, but August is generally a hellish time to be visiting blast-furnace state.

Tell me about it! I live in Phoenix, and it was still 108 the other day at 6:30 pm! I wonder what I would have to do to get my mother-in-law to watch all four of my kids so I can go see Dr. Frank and hear some "mommy music."

I picture Florence Henderson flitting around with a feather duster to "Christine Bactine." Am I close, or what?
