This article in the Daily Californian (on Berkeley's civil defense preparedness) contains this nugget of brilliant analysis:
at least one expert said terrorists probably won't bother targeting Berkeley."Berkeley is very anti-war, so it would seem a very unlikely target, because it would turn a bastion of anti-war feeling against you," said UC Berkeley political science professor Darren Zook.
I'm having a strange flashback to 9/12/01 when massive idiotarian Michael Moore posted this now-deleted, disgusting message on his on-line journal:
Many families have been devastated tonight. This just is not right. They did not deserve to die. If someone did this to get back at Bush, then they did so by killing thousands of people who DID NOT VOTE for him! Boston, New York, DC, and the planes' destination of California-- these were places that voted against Bush! Why kill them?

I just took his class on War, Violence and Terrorism... he is very well versed in the subject of terror. He speaks at great length on the ideology behind it. I think the obvious problem is that you have taken a narrow brush in that one line quote from Dr.Zook and attempted to paint over a very broad canvass... a canvass of such demension that you must be incapable of conceiving.
good day.
PS.Where did you earn your PhD.? Ronald McDonald College?

Nice job of google searching Berkeley, finding a random professor, and slapping a liberal Michael Moore label on him. I'm taking a course of his now and he is completely non-partisan and happens to be a very bright man. Stop slandering good non-partisan academics.
